I am having alot of difficulty finding a name for my new baby. she is sooo adorable and has the most unique personality and i want to give her a unique name. something indian or from nature. any suggestions?

Reply:Even if it is the law that you can sell a pup at 6 weeks, it doesn't make it right. A pup should go home no earlier then 8 weeks, they learn a lot from their mom about proper social and behavioral skills. A pup that goes home to young can develop problems in those areas.

Reply:And any breeder who would sell before 8 weeks is still a POS BYB. I don't care if the law does say its ok. Its not right or appropriate for the puppy.
Reply:It's true...they shouldn't have let the dog go before it's first shots at 8 weeks. But 6 weeks is the correct time to separate them from mom %26amp; siblings. Mom has NOTHNG to do with them at 6 weeks, and siblings only teach each other who's dominant and who's submissive. Be glad you got spared winding up with either one of those characteristics.





At 6 weeks, they need to learn socialization with HUMANS....not dogs. That all stems from the Fruitcake that invented the concept of DOG PARK. The other thing everyone will whine about is the Fantasy that siblings teach "Bite Inhibition"...a term coined by the same Dog Park Fool I suppose. YOU teach the dog not to bite. AS far as other dogs...she merely needs to "tolerate" them. There is NO need for dogs to be social with other dogs...UNLESS you like to go dance around the doggie park.





So, basically, keep her as close as you can to being quarantined until you get some shots....and don't worry about the Petsmart gang jumping your case.
