What's an unique name for a newborn?

My aunt's baby is due in about 2 weeks and she doesn't have a name yet. She has thought of Joshua the last name would be Rodriguez

What's an unique name for a newborn?
The question is, whats a unique name for a grown man. A new born is only a baby for a few years, but he'll be a man all his life.





Joshua is a wonderful name.
Reply:Unique names are fine, but if they sound too made-up or pretentious, he's going to have one hard life.





My boyfriend's brother and sister-in-law recently had a boy and named him Dominic. HIs last name is Ortiz, and I think Dominic goes well with Hispanic last names like Rodriguez.

my suggestion is to make a list of all the names that you like and try to make fun of them any way you can.(Jackie the jack-0-lantern)


The ones with the least ways or no ways to make fun of ,are the ones you should keep in mind.Children can be mean while they are young about names, they become more accepting as they get older but while children are young they won't understand why kids are making fun of their name and may become very upset about it.


I also suggest names that can have an obvious nickname a child could use if they are uncomfortable with their full name


(my full name is Stephanie, most will call me Stephie at my preference)





try to make sure that the name is unique enough that too many kids wont have it(your child should be individual) but "normal" enough that it wont be mispronounced or thought as odd or weird.

Joshua is a gr8 name but is not unique though. I think unique is not always pretty.
