Personally, I'd choose a classic and "normal" name. For me, the popularity of a name doesn't really matter. If the name I liked happened to be a bit less popular, I'd be happy, but if I chose the name Emily, it would'nt really matter. Generally, I think I prefer common names, though :)
If you got to choose your own name, would you choose a common name or a rare/unique name?
I think a little bit of both would be really cool. But i love different spellings with Y's and -elle- at the end. I would love to have a middle name too. (my parents said they didn't want me to have a long name )
Lily Giselle
Zoey Danielle
Madeline Lily
Lucy Arielle
Those are my favorite, but I still love my name!!
**Julie**
Reply:My name is Kristena... if I could pick, I would have liked Audrina because it's very unique and very beautiful. I'm planning on naming my daughter that one day :)
Reply:something in between, something that not a lot of people have, but not something totally crazy - i would not want to be an Ashley or a Sarah, but I wouldn't want to be a Shiloh or an Apple either.
Reply:a little bit of both, i want it to be a mixture.
not too crazy but not too popular
Reply:I wouldn't say common as much as classic, such as:
Emily
Claire/Clara/Clarice
Miranda (That's what I really wanted to be when I was a kid - I hated my name)
Simone
Cynthia
Reply:unique;; I was going to be named the french name Simone (not Si-mon, but See-moan, with an accent), but my father couldn't pronounce it.
A unique name, cause there's too many bloody Sally's and Jessica's in the world.
Reply:i would want a rare name which doesnt get misspelt or mispronounced. I cant imagin it being nice when your in class and you have to wait for the right sarah or josh
Reply:I would choose a rare name
Reply:I would choose Riley, and that's kinda of a inbetween name.
Reply:An esoteric name suggesting erudition such as Phaedra or Eustacia
Reply:rare/unique...i like being a little different sometimes :)
Reply:well i took my childhood endearment and made that my name -- i think its rare and unique but it doesn't matter to me because i really love it -- Cata (cat-uh)
Reply:Rare or unique! I found a beautiful name from my culture, Bulgaria. I'm sure it's not used often.
Reply:i used to want a common name but i think unique is better
Reply:I would name myself a unique but pretty and not funky.
Reply:I would choose Ben-Oni. or Mary Alice.
